| March 8, 2002 -- The Department of Music of the School of Visual
and Performing Arts at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus is
pleased to announce the 10th Long Island Guitar Festival on April
5, 6 and 7, 2002. The festival will feature concerts, master classes
and workshops with classical guitarists Eduardo Fernandez and Celcila
Siqueria, fingerstyle jazz guitarist Gene Bertoncini, and the Becker-Bianculli
guitar duo. Classes include computer technology, arranging, and ensemble
playing.
The Friday, April 5 concert will feature the world premiere of
"Long Island Suite," written by Carlo Domeniconi
in celebration of the 10th festival and the American Guitar Museum's
"Players Choice Awards" performed by the Becker-Bianculli
guitar duo.
On Sunday afternoon, the American Guitar Museum presents "The
Players Choice Awards."
All public events will take place in Hillwood Commons of the C.W.
Post Campus, 720 Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville. For
