ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Attend one Resume workshop and one Interviewing workshop* at the PEP Office, Kumble Hall Lower Level OR attend Professional Development Day on September 16, 2008.
-Resume Composition Workshop/Orientation to Campus Recruitment:
Tuesday, September 23, Tuesday, October 15 or Wednesday, October 15 (4:30 - 6:00 pm)
-Interview Preparation Workshop: Wednesday, October 22, Tuesday, November 11, or Wednesday, November 12 (4:30 - 6:00 pm)

Have your resume critiqued by a PEP counselor (by appointment) or e-mail your resume (as an MS Word attachment or .rtf file) to resumes@cwpost.liu.edu for an online resume critique.
Submit your resumes to the PEP Office on specified drop-off dates (see below).
Refer to the PEP website at www.liu.edu/pep for information updates
Adhere to recruitment day policies and procedures

Friday, March 13, 2008 Out of State School District Recruitment
Tilles Center - C.W. Post Campus - 8:45 am - 4:00 pm

  • Must attend Resume Clinic/Orientation to Education Recruitment workshop and Interview Skills workshop (Professional Development Day for Curriculum and Instruction students fulfills this requirement)
  • Have your resume critiqued by a PEP counselor by Friday, February 6, 2009. You can make an appointment to meet with a PEP Counselor and have your resume critiqued or e-mail your resume to resumes@cwpost.liu.edu.
  • Obtain a list of the school districts that will be recruiting. A tentative list will be available in January 2009 in the PEP Office and on the PEP website at www.liu.edu/pep.
  • Resumes must be submitted to the PEP office on Thursday, February 14, and Friday, February, 15, 2008 between the hours of 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, Tuesday, February 19, 2008 between 9:00 am and 7:30 pm, or Wednesday, February 20, 2008 between the hours of 9:00 am - 7:30 pm.
  • Bring ONE copy of your resume for each school district you select and submit your resume only to those districts you are seriously considering. Your certification must match the certifications for which the district is hiring. No cover letters or envelopes. Bring one extra copy of your resume for the PEP Office files.
  • The list of candidates selected for interviews will be posted in late March on www.liu.edu/pep and in the PEP Office.
  • Interviews will take place on April 4, 2008. Prior to that date, selected candidates must pick up an interview packet in the PEP Office. Interviews will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis at 8:30 AM on April 4, 2008. You must bring one copy of your resume for each interview. It is imperative that you keep your interview appointment. A last minute cancellation or "no-show' will result in will result in disqualification from all C.W. Post recruitment events.
