provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry,
veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much
more from over 4,800 current biomedical journals. Included are citations
from Index Medicus, International Nursing Index, Index to Dental Literature,
HISTLINE, SPACELINE, PREMEDLINE, AIDSLINE, BIOETHICSLINE,
and HealthSTAR.

- Made available to the public for free by the
National Center for Biotechnology Information,
the PubMed version of Medline is a service of the National Library of Medicine and includes
over 14 million citations for biomedical articles dating back to the 1950's.
These citations are from Medline and additional life science
journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text
articles and other related resources.
PubMed Central is a digital
archive of life sciences journal literature. Integrated into the Entrez retrieval
system, PMC provides free and unrestricted access to the full text of over 100 life sciences
journals, with more to come. No password needed.

allied health, and pre-clinical sciences, as well as some aspects of biology,
environmental science, marine biology, plant & animal science, biophysics,
and chemistry.

NOVEL (New York Online Virtual
Electronic Library) is a statewide virtual library provided free to
the public by the New York State Library.
It is currently a pilot project funded through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA)
grant to the NY State Library by the Federal Institute of
Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
