- Provides access to information about new, ongoing,
and completed library and information science research around the world,
from postgraduate theses to large-scale international projects, prior to its appearance
in the published literature. Includes related fields such as museums,

archives and records management, and information and communications
technologies and telecommunications associated with information storage,
preservation, retrieval and dissemination.
Includes details on the duration and status of the project,

- Provides an extensive array of information about more
than 900,000 children's books, video and audio recordings,

than 130,000 critical reviews of thousands of children's books,
ranging from the earliest baby board books to novels and
nonfiction for young adults, and an average of more than 1500
new reviews are added to the database monthly. Includes

- Produced by the Association of College and Research
Libraries, this provides access to the entire database of Choice reviews published since September
1988, covering significant current books and electronic resources of interest to
those in higher education. Updated monthly, Choice publishes more than 6,500 reviews by
subject experts each year. The newest reviews are arranged by academic discipline and broad
cross-disciplinary topic. All reviews can be searched by combining various criteria.
- Guide
to Reference (American Library Association)
- Formerly known as Robert Balay's Guide to Reference Books, this is a selective,
annotated list of "core collection" reference sources judged to be useful based
on their content, organization, and popularity. It includes sources produced by governments, professional
societies, commercial publishers, and other organizations, with a preference for the online
versions of sources available in multiple formats, as well as free websites, metasites,
directory sites, and portals that have gained a reputation for quality. To access the full
range of functions, such as notes, users need to create a free individual profile.

Resources for College Libraries (Bowker)
- Formerly Books for College Libraries, this core list of hand-selected print
and electronic titles for academic libraries features 65,000 titles arranged into 58
curriculum-specific subjects. Can be searched by a variety of criteria including: RCL subject,
LC classification range, Dewey number range, audience, format, awards, and date added to
the database. Includes the full text of reviews from Choice. Updated quarterly.

folklore, and fairy tales printed in North America, covering the years
1910-1960. The AJC continues the gathering of children's books by

Electronic Library) is a statewide virtual library provided free to
the public by the New York State Library.
