The following resources are available on campus and from home. A University I.D. card with a barcode
will provide access from off campus. Go to the Circulation Desk of the Library to obtain a barcode.
Part of the Gale Virtual Reference Library, this explores the evolution of the public relations field,
with examples from history describing events, changing practices, and the key figures who developed
and expanded the profession.
Business Source
Premier provides full text articles for over 8,000 scholarly business journals and
other sources, including full text for more than 1,100 scholarly business publications. Coverage
includes virtually all subject areas related to business. This database provides full text (PDF) for
more than 350 of the top scholarly journals dating as far back as 1922.
Directory services provided by the American Society of Association Executives.
Use Hoover's Online to find overview, history, and some financial information about
your company. Easy links are provided for SEC filings (10-K).
Use "Advanced Search" to locate company and industry information, investment reports,
history, rankings, and many current articles.
Produced by the same company as the Business & Company Resource Center, this
database provides similar information in a somewhat different format.
The ProQuest databases provide a wealth of information in full-text articles. Use the
"Advanced Search" to locate articles by specific company and/or subject heading.
In addition to the features found in Hoover's Online, the Mergent database provides 15
years of financials, investment information, annual reports, and EDGAR (SEC) filings.
Financials can be downloaded to Excel, and reports of multiple companies can be created.
