Admission Procedures

Applicants should submit the following by June 1 for the Fall (September) Semester or November 1 for the Spring (January) Semester:

  • Application for Admission (You can access our application online at www.liu.edu/postapp)
  • Official transcripts in English. These should be sent directly from your school. Bachelor's degree candidates under age 25 are required to submit transcripts of all completed secondary education. Transfer candidates are required to submit transcripts of all completed university-level education. Master's or Doctorate Degree candidates must submit transcripts of all completed university-level education.
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) results*
  • SAT results*
  • GRE/GMAT (for graduate students only)*
  • U.S. $30 application fee

The following information may also be helpful or, in some cases, required:

  • An essay
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Employment and/or extracurricular experience
  • Art portfolio

SCHOLARSHIPS
To be considered for academic scholarships, international students must submit an application for admission and all required academic credentials by the scholarship deadline. Academic requirements and deadlines may vary. Contact the Office of International Admissions for further information.
