2008 Honors Scholarships
C.W. Post Provost’s Award (full tuition)
Recipients are first-time freshmen designated as “National Merit Scholarship Corporation Competition Finalists” or “Finalists in the National Achievement Scholarship Program Competition” after taking the PSAT/NMSQT. C.W. Post must be designated as the student’s first choice institution.
Deadline: March 1 for fall
Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholars Award ($19,000)
Entering full-time freshmen who are valedictorian or salutatorian of their high school class and have a standardized test score of 1300 (old S.A.T.) or 1950 (new S.A.T.) or 29 (ACT) or better, paying the flat rate of tuition will be considered for the Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholars Award.
*Minimum S.A.T. Verbal score of 570 or ACT English of 24 required
Deadlines: March 1 for fall; November 1 for spring
University Scholars Award ($18,000)
Entering full-time freshmen who have a high school cumulative average of 92 percent or better and a standardized test score of 1300 (Old S.A.T.), 1950 or better (New S.A.T.), or ACT of 29 or better, paying the flat rate of tuition will be considered for the University Scholars Award.
*Minimum S.A.T. Verbal score of 570 or ACT English of 24 required

Academic Excellence Award ($13,000-$15,000)
Entering full-time freshmen who have a high school cumulative average of 90 percent or better, and a standardized test score of 1200 (old S.A.T.) or 1800 (New S.A.T.) or 27 (ACT) or better, paying the flat rate tuition will be considered for this award.
*Mimimum S.A.T. Verbal score of 570 or ACT English of 24 required

Academic Incentive Award ($12,000)
Entering full-time freshmen who have a high school cumulative average of 85 percent or better and a standardized test score of 1100 (old S.A.T.) or 1650 (new S.A.T.) or 24 (ACT) or better, paying the flat tuition rate will be considered for the Academic Incentive Award.

C.W. Post/Nassau Community College Scholarship (full tuition and fees)
This scholarship is designed for full-time students transferring with an earned Associate's Degree (AS or AA) or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) from Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York. To be eligible for consideration, students must be full-time and must pay the flat tuition rate. Candidates are recommended to the C.W. Post Scholarship Committee by a delegate from Nassau Community College.

Transfer Scholars Award ($14,000)
This grant is designed for full-time students transferring with an Associate's Degree (AS or AA) directly from an accredited community college with a cumulative average of 3.9 or better. To be eligible for consideration, students must be full-time and must pay the flat tuition rate.
Deadline: July 1 for fall (fall semester only)
Transfer Excellence Award ($10,000-$12,000)
This grant is designed for students transferring with 24 or more credits from an accredited college or university who have maintained a cumulative average of 3.75 or better. To be eligible, students must be full-time and must pay the flat tuition rate. All full-time

Transfer Achievement Award ($8,000-$9,000)
This grant is designed for students transferring with 24 or more credits from an accredited college or university who have maintained a cumulative average of 3.75 or better. To be eligible, students must be full-time and must pay the flat tuition rate.

Honors Scholarships (variable amounts)
Deadline: rolling, apply to Honors Director
Students receiving the above awards must participate in the Honors Program and Merit Fellowship as a condition of the scholarship. Current C.W. Post students may be considered for the program based on the strength of their C.W. Post grades.
