Department of Educational Technology
M.S. in Educational Technology: T.E.A.M.
All graduate courses in the Department of Educational Technology are
offered in a lock step program that culminates in a Master of Science
Degree in Educational Technology. The program (called T.E.A.M.-Technology,
Education, and Multimedia) leads to New York State certification as an Educational Tecnology Specialist and gives educators the skills necessary to
evaluate, select and implement various information technologies. Graduates
learn how to use these technologies in the educational process and
to develop an understanding of their philosophical and sociological
ramifications.
Students join a T.E.A.M. of approximately 30 students who attend
classes together for the entire program. Day and times are locked
in. There are four hour blocks each week during the Fall and Spring
semesters and two week blocks over the summer. Courses are pre-selected
by the faculty, often after discussion with our students. Courses
are scheduled to meet the needs of the entire group.
Students are admitted in cohorts to the T.E.A.M. program only after
having been accepted by the University, interviewed by the Department,
and accepted by the Department.
