Summer Day Camp

Director

Dorene Padula joins us for her sixth summer at the C.W. Post Summer Day Camp. A graduate of St. Joseph’s College, she holds a B.S. in Recreation. Ms. Padula has many years of resident and day camp experience and brings the enthusiasm and creativity necessary to continue traditions and help the program grow.

Our Staff

Each camper group will be supervised at all times by at least 2 counselors, making our camper to counselor ratio 1:7. Since we are committed to providing the most positive experience possible only the most caring, patient and responsible candidates are selected as counselors and program staff to care for our campers. Our general counselors are over 18 and our Program Directors, many of whom are teachers, are over 21 years of age. We also have Jr. Counselors who are a third in the group and our CIT graduate. Our staff is dedicated to teaching and developing creative, motivating fun filled activities. Our counselors and Program Directors are certified in Standard First Aid and CPR. Before the campers arrive all staff members participate in an intensive training week of safety, counseling, teaching, and camp policies and procedures.

Safety

Safety is of utmost importance at C.W. Post. It is our first priority in every activity, at every meal and in every program. Camp is based on a daily schedule program; therefore we know where every camper should be at every moment. We take our role as caregiver very seriously. Parents can rest assured their child is being well cared for and in good hands.
