The 5-Year B.S./M.B.A. in Business Administration degree program at C.W. Post offers a well-rounded, cost effective learning experience. Students earn a bachelor’s degree in business administration with optional concentrations in finance, international business, management and marketing, then seamlessly transition into graduate courses in business administration.

Undergraduate students may declare as early as their freshman year, but not later than the beginning of their senior year. Before taking the 600-level courses, as specified below, students must meet the GMAT and GPA index requirements, including a minimum GMAT score of 400 and a 3.0 G.P.A. Students must meet the same standards for admission to the M.B.A. portion of the program as those students who apply from other schools, or who have already completed a bachelor’s degree at C.W. Post.

The dual degree program enables you to enter the business world sooner, armed with superior credentials and higher earning potential. In fact, according to CareerBuilder.com, an average M.B.A. degree holder makes over $1,000,000 more during his/her lifetime than a bachelor’s degree holder.

A student may waive up to 18 credits of the 500-level courses by earning a B or better in the following courses:

In the senior year, students take two (2) 600-level courses, reducing M.B.A .course requirements to 30 additional credits upon satisfaction of undergraduate requirements (for a total of 36 credits in the M.B.A. program). Undergraduate tuition rates will apply to these two (2) courses. These two courses (6 credits) will be jointly applied to undergraduate and graduate courses of study. These two courses take the place of two undergraduate business electives. Students must earn at least a B in each of the two 600-level courses for them to count toward the dual degree.

Yes, our accreditation with AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) requires C.W. Post students to take the GMAT exam. The GMAT must be taken no later than the start of the fourth year. The student should indicate the following code to insure C.W. Post will receive the score: NNR 4015.

Yes. You must formally apply for admission to the M.B.A. portion of the program by the December prior to the semester in which you intend to take the 600-level courses as a senior. Earlier application is encouraged.

Yes. You will receive two degrees. You may walk with your undergraduate class at Commencement, but you will receive your actual diplomas (one for the Bachelor’s and one for the Master’s) after completion of the M.B.A.

Students electing not to continue with the 5th year of the program would be eligible to graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration upon successful completion of their undergraduate course requirements. Doing so, however, terminates the advantages of the accelerated program. Re-entry into the M.B.A. portion of the program would therefore entail a 36-credit program.
