ECO 41 International Economics

From the Undergraduate Bulletin: Appraisal of arguments for and against free trade, analysis of balance of payments, foreign exchange, and world development problems.

Prerequisite: ECO 12
Fall semester. 3 credits.

The world is getting smaller. International trade in goods and services is increasing rapidly and so is international borrowing and lending. Movements of resources across international borders are also at very high levels—for example, immigration into the United States is at historical highs. The effect of local activities on the global environment is at the forefront of our concerns. The relevance of International Economics has never been more clear. Welcome!
