Palmer Institute for Public Library Organization and Management
This first-of-its-kind institute, headed by Gerald Nichols, is designed to train those who will play key leadership roles in the public libraries of tomorrow. The Institute offers the new Advanced Certificate in Public Library Administration, as well as a vibrant Public Library Continuing Education program. Courses, taught by experts in the field explore all aspects of library administration—management, human resources, finance, law, facilities, and technology—and are taught at multiple campuses as well as on-site. Distance learning will soon be available. This groundbreaking program reflects the Palmer School’s key leadership role in public library education.
