(Defense Technical Information Center)
- Formerly Public STINET: Scientific & Technical Information Network, this provides
citations to and full text of unclassified technical documents and research
reports generated for and by the
U.S. Department of Defense that broadly cover all areas
associated with defense research, such as military, security, international politics, technology, sciences,
biology, medicine, environment, pollution, psychology, social sciences, patents,
conference proceedings, and more. Includes citations from the Air University
Library Index to Military Periodicals, Staff College Automated Military Periodical
Index, DoD Index to Specifications and Standards, and Research and
Development Descriptive Summaries. Produced by the
Defense Technical Information Center.

Digests of Environmental Impact Statements (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)
- Indexes and abstracts environmental impact
statements issued by the federal government. Each
entry includes a clear description of the project, sections on positive
impact and negative consequences, and legal mandates.
Covers air transportation, defense programs, energy, hazardous substances,
land use, parks, refuges, forests, roads, railroads, programs, and water.

- Government information is a tremendous
resource for research on
a broad range of topics including business and economics, criminal
justice, education, environment, geology, health and nutrition, and
population to name just a few. Much of this information is available
from the Internet, and the C.W. Post Government Information Department
has compiled an extensive list of resources.

the public by the New York State Library.
