Enrollment Information

DROP/ADD PERIOD
The deadline for all drop/adds is December 29, 2008
If you wish to drop a course in order to add a different course, you must have your C.W. Post academic counselor sign the Drop/Add form before registering for the course to be added. Visiting students should contact the Winter Session office for Drop/Add form processing.

COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
The University reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.

PASS/FAIL, WITHDRAWAL OPTION
The deadline to opt a course for pass/fail or to withdraw from a course is January 5. Please see your academic counselor.

REFUND SCHEDULE
Prior to the start of classes... Full Refund
First day of classes... 50%
After first day of classes... No Refund

RETURNED CHECK FEE
A charge is levied on all checks returned to the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University for any reason.

Charges are as follows:
Checks under $100... $25.00
Checks over $100... $50.00
Checks over $1,000... 10% of value

SENIOR CITIZENS (65 years or older prior to the beginning of the term for which you enroll)
Senior citizens will be charged at 1/2 the regular tuition rate if they take a course for credit; if a course is taken on an audit basis, they will be charged at 1/4 the regular rate of tuition. (Student activity fees are waived for senior citizens registering for credit courses only. Special course fees and other fees are in effect where applicable.)

Please note: Senior citizens may not register until one week before classes begin. In addition, the special senior citizens’ tuition rate is not applicable to studio classes, per capita classes, and individualized courses of instruction.

AUDIT
One-half tuition plus full fees for courses other than per capita classes and independent studies.
