Honorees-
Abraham & Eric Krasnoff

In 1952, during Pall Corporation’s infancy, Abraham Krasnoff (left) was hired by its founder, David Pall, to guide the company financially. For the next 40 years, Mr. Krasnoff’s vision and keen business sense helped to position Pall Corporation as a leader in the rapidly growing filtration, separations and purification industry. Today, the company provides cutting edge products for use in high-growth applications such as genomics, proteomics and biotechnology for the transfusion medicine, semiconductor, water and aerospace industries. Mr. Krasnoff, who holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from New York University, served as controller, treasurer, vice president and executive vice president of the company from 1951-1969. He was president, vice chairman and CEO from 1969-1989, rising to become the company’s chairman in 1989, a position that he held until his retirement in 1992.

Mr. Krasnoff joined the board of trustees of Long Island University in 1979, serving as its chairman from 1983-1984. He received an honorary doctorate from C.W. Post in 1985. During his tenure as a trustee, he also was elected chairman of the trustees’ Special Committee on University Organization, in addition to serving on the Governance Commission. He retired from the board in 1987. He currently resides with his wife, Julienne, in Glen Cove.

In 1975, Eric Krasnoff (right), Abraham’s son, joined Pall Corporation. Eric, who earned his B.A. in anthropology from Columbia University, has worked at the company ever since. He served as vice president of administration, senior vice president, group vice president, executive vice president and senior corporate administrative officer, and president and COO. He is now chairman and CEO. Mr. Krasnoff’s years of leadership have played an integral role in Pall Corporation’s success and expansion of operations to more than 30 countries. Pall’s sales doubled to more than $1.3 billion during his tenure.

In 1992, he followed in his father’s footsteps, joining the Long Island University board of trustees. During his decade-long involvement with the institution, he has served as chair of the Planning Committee and as a member of the Executive and Collective Bargaining Committees. Mr. Krasnoff also is chairman of the National Blood Foundation and is active with the National Center for Disabilities. He serves as vice chairman of the American Business Conference. Mr. Krasnoff resides in Old Brookville, New York with his wife, Robin. He has two daughters.
