The University belongs to a buying cooperative for Educational
and Institutional purchases. There are many contracts
covered by this cooperative including:
- Furniture
- Computers
- Printers
- Air Freight
- Scientific Supplies and Equipment
- Audio Visual Supplies and Equipment
The price structures, for these agreements, are based on
the volume of many universities and hospitals. Some contracts
are national and some are regional. Usually the price discounts
offered on these contracts are significantly better than we
can get on our own because of the volume of institutions involved.
The University may participate in these contracts. If we receive
a purchase order requisition and feel that an E & I contract
may be more beneficial, we will contact the requisitioning
department and advise them accordingly.
