Whether you are a first-year, transfer, or graduate student, New Student Orientation serves as the introduction to the LIU Brooklyn campus and our community. The program will give you an overview of the opportunities and resources available to you as a student.

Orientation Leaders will serve as the first point of contact for all incoming students. These friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic upperclassmen will help to provide each new student with the ultimate orientation experience. Along with the Orientation Leaders, LIU Promise Success Coaches, our faculty, and staff will be available to ensure that all your questions are answered.  

The program is designed to be fun, interactive, educational, and memorable. Orientation is sure to be an amazing experience for all students!

Residential Student Move-In and Welcome:
Residential Student Move-In and Welcome will take place on August 30 - August 31. Please see information below regarding your move-in time:

Move-In Times – Tuesday, August 30, 2016
Conolly Hall Even Floors 8AM-11AM
Conolly Hall Odd Floors 11AM-2PM
Hoyt Street & Fulton Street 2PM-5PM
(Students must be in good financial standing prior to move-in. Please check your My LIU account to confirm your status or to set up a payment plan.)

New Student Orientation:

All new students are invited to attend New Student Orientation on Thursday, September 1st at 8:30am until Friday, September 2nd at 3pm.

Transfer Student Orientation:

Transfer student orientation is an express one-day orientation taking place on Wednesday, August 31st from 8:30am until 3:30pm. Transfer students may also choose to attend our full 3-day orientation.

Parent and Family Orientation:

Parents and families of all students are invited to attend Parent Orientation on Thursday, September 1st from 8:30am-2:30pm.
