Registration Information:

The Homeland Security Management Institute's Spring 2013 semester is currently underway and all Spring 2013 registration requests have now been processed.

If you are interested in joining the HSMI for the upcoming Summer or Fall 2013 semesters, you may contact the Riverhead Admission Office at 631-287-8010, e-mail: or click to officially inquire / apply. If you are a continuing HSMI student, you may place your Summer and Fall 2013 registration requests either online via MyLIU or via e-mail to HSMI Program Coordinator, Jeffrey Rapess, at for manual processing.

Financial aid questions should be directed to Christina Stromski at 631-287-8322 or Please be reminded that if you receive financial assistance in the form of a student loan and/or scholarship, this credit cannot be applied to your student account for Summer or Fall 2013 until you have filed your 2013 – 2014 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. The 2013 – 2014 financial aid year begins with the Summer 2013 term and ends with the Spring 2014 term. If you have any holds on your student account that prevent you from registering for the Summer or Fall 2013 term, we suggest that you attempt to resolve the issues as soon as possible You can check your MyLIU account for these holds and review the details for information about how to resolve them.
