Commencement Ceremony and Recognition Reception
The formal Commencement ceremony for LIU Riverhead graduates will be held at LIU Post on Friday, May 9, 2014 under the tent on the Great Lawn. Undergraduate students are asked to report to Humanities Hall and graduate students to the Tilles Center no later than 10:30 a.m. There are two parts to Friday’s Commencement Exercises. The main ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m. on the Great Lawn at LIU Post. At this ceremony, students from each College/School/Campus will be asked to rise when their College/School/Campus is called and will be recognized as a group.
A Recognition Reception for each College/School/Campus will be held immediately following the main ceremony. However, please note: The LIU Riverhead Class of 2014 Recognition Reception and Convocation will be held at the Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. Graduates will receive an invitation to this reception. For more information, please contact the LIU Riverhead Office of Student Services at (631) 287-8325 or email@example.com. Select from the links on the left side of this page for graduation eligibility requirements, diplomas and transcripts, guest invitations, caps and gowns, local hotels and motels for guests, and other information.
Because of the large number of visitors for the Commencement ceremony, traffic near LIU Post can become heavy on Route 107 and Northern Boulevard on graduation day. Please leave yourself plenty of time. Upon arrival to campus, please follow the directions of the Old Brookville Police Department and the LIU Post Public Safety staff.
