Degree Requirements

The program requires a minimum of 31 credit hours of graduate study. Students must complete all the course work listed in the Degree Requirements section, achieve a grade of B- or higher for all graduate education courses and earn an overall G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher.

New York State Teacher Certification Requirements

• 6 semester hours in each of the following areas: English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. Most or all of these courses are completed at the bachelor’s degree level before the student enters Long Island University at Riverhead. A transcript review of these course requirements is completed during the Admissions process.
