Dr. Sanja Cale Appointed to Faculty of LIU’s Riverhead Location

Riverhead, N.Y. – Sanja I. Cale, Ph.D. has been appointed to the faculty of the Riverhead Location of Long Island University as an assistant professor of education.
Dr. Cale, a resident of Nesconset, holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and a Master of Arts in psychology from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University at Albany. She has been a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key honor societies and graduated magna cum laude from the University at Albany.
Her expertise is in children with disabilities, with a particular focus on children with autism. Prior to joining the faculty of the Riverhead Location she worked as a consultant, therapist, behavior specialist and examiner.
The Riverhead Location of LIU offers master's level courses in childhood education, literacy education, teaching students with disabilities, homeland security management and public administration. Master's-level study at the Riverhead Location is designed for working adults as well as traditional students, with evening and weekend courses available for students who need to balance work and family responsibilities with education. Classes are held in the Montaukett Building on the Campus, located at 121 Speonk-Riverhead Road.
