Master in Business Administration (M.B.A.)
The MBA Program at LIU Hudson offers a comprehensive and challenging curriculum, led by experienced faculty professionals, designed to develop critical business skills. After completing the core courses, the student has a choice of four areas of concentration.
The Management Concentration: builds on earlier courses in management and leadership, communications and organizational analysis to explore in depth the issues that arise in human resources, project management, new venture creation and organizational change.
The Finance Concentration: follows basic work in accounting, corporate finance and money and banking, to build the competencies designed for success as financial managers.
The Healthcare Sector Management Concentration: exposes the student to the world of healthcare –its organizations, finances, information systems and administration. The four HCM courses can be taken separately as an advanced certificate in Healthcare Sector Management, or as part of the MBA degree, either at the beginning or end of the student's program.
The Cyber Security Concentration: The four courses in the Cyber Security for Business Professionals concentration are offered entirely online and include, principles of cyber security, regulatory compliance, business controls and risk management and survivability and disaster recovery. The courses may be taken as an Advanced Certificate or as part of the MBA degree, either at the beginning or end of the student's program.
