The ITI program is an online cross-campus (LIU Brooklyn and LIU Hudson) program open only to applicants who are currently working full time (100%) in an ESOL or Bilingual Education Program. In addition to the LIU admissions requirements listed below, applicants must obtain a nomination by their district superintendent or, alternatively, a commitment stating that as a result of participating in and completing the ITI program she or he will be assigned to a full-time position in such a program. All accepted into ITI are eligible for a Tuition Assistance Program for the Bilingual Extension and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Certification coursework in general or special education.
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.75. (An applicant with an undergraduate average between 2.6 and 2.74 may be admitted as a limited matriculant.)

- A written statement of professional goals
