A passing score on the Content Specialty Test in Students with Disabilities will be required for certification. Students will also need to complete the 3-hour autism workshop in order to become certified in special education.
A passing score on the Content Specialty Test—Multi-Subject 7-12—will be required as soon as the test has been developed.
Note: Students who have a concentration of 18 or more credits in English, social studies, math or science will be eligible to apply for an extension leading to a specialization teaching the subject of concentration in special education programs.
