Orangeburg, NY. – Are you looking to change your career or advance in your current company? Are you a college graduate who is interested in furthering your education? If you are seeking a new occupation or want to move ahead in your current position, a master's degree or advanced certificate from the Rockland Graduate Campus of Long Island University is a great first step.

Faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors will be on hand at an Open House on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. to discuss graduate programs available from the only university in Rockland County. Learn about 14 graduate degree programs in business administration, health administration, public administration, teacher education, educational school leadership, school counseling, mental health counseling and pharmaceutics. To help pay for their education, the Rockland Graduate Campus offers scholarships and financial aid for its students.

In addition, a Teacher Certification Workshop will be held at 4:30 p.m. and a Mental Health Counseling Licensure Workshop will take place at 5 p.m. Both workshops are free .

Two attractive programs include the Master of Science in Education in Adolescence Education (grades 7-12) designed for career-changers looking to become certified teachers, and the Master of Science in Special Education with a Concentration in Autism.

The Rockland Graduate Campus provides a quality private education to working professionals. Courses are offered in the late afternoons, evenings and on weekends to afford working students an opportunity to balance their educational objectives with family and business demands.

The open house will be held at the Rockland Graduate Campus, 70 Route 340, Orangeburg located off exit 5N of the Palisades Parkway. Fall classes begin Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
