Top Students to Be Inducted Into Rockland Graduate Campus Counseling Honor Society May 17

Orangeburg, N.Y. – Top students in the counseling master's degree programs at the Rockland Graduate Campus of Long Island University will be inducted into Sigma Kappa Chi, the school's counseling honor society, Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. Family members and guests are invited and refreshments will be served.
Robert Sweeney, president-elect of the Westchester Putnam Rockland Counseling Association, will be the guest speaker. Sweeney is a guidance counselor at Mamaroneck High School and former director of admissions at Mercy College.
Sigma Kappa Chi is the Rockland Graduate Campus chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the international counseling academic and professional society. Its mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.
The Rockland Graduate Campus offers the Master of Science in school counseling and the M.S. in mental health counseling, along with master's degrees in business administration, childhood and adolescence education, health and public administration, pharmacy and school library media and advanced certificates in school administration, gerontology, long-term care and nonprofit management.
