Graduate Centers History
For more than a quarter of a century, Long Island University has been offering graduate degree and certificate programs in Rockland and Westchester Counties and at the Education Center at West Point.
The Hudson Graduate Center at Rockland is conveniently located near the Palisades Parkway in Orangeburg, N.Y., just two miles from the New Jersey border. The Campus offers personalized instruction delivered by a full-time faculty and adjunct professors drawn from the top ranks of their professions. Most courses are offered during the evenings and weekends to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals.
The Hudson Graduate Center at Westchester is located in a state-of-the art facility on the grounds of Purchase College. The facility features high-tech classrooms designed for adult learners, technologically advanced library facilities, mainframe-networked computer labs and other resources.
The Education Center at West Point is located on the grounds of the United States Military Academy at West Point. The physical beauty of the location is matched by the deep and long standing importance of the location in American History. The graduate programs in Counseling and Teacher Education are designed to meet the special schedule needs of military personnel and their spouses, but over half the students enrolled in programs there have no connection with the Army or the Department of Defense.
