Urban Studies Program
The M.A. in Urban Studies provides students with a behind-the-scenes look at urban administration, economics, government, history, management, planning and sociology. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum for administrators, economists, managers and planners in unrelated fields, who are interested in career change or in working in urban agencies, in addition to those already employed in the field, who lack the academic credentials needed to advance professionally.
Faculty members are experts in their areas of specialization and provide fascinating insight and an insider's perspective into the daily business, politics and economics of urban life and administration. Guest lecturers from public and private agencies visit the classroom often, offering their commentary on a wide range of urban-related topics.
