Scholarships, Grants & Loans

The LIU Brooklyn Office of Student Financial Services administers federal, state and institutional aid programs to qualified students to help them finance their college education. Funds are available through a variety of sources, including the United States Department of Education, the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) (for NY state residents), and LIU Brooklyn. Grants and scholarships do not require repayment. Direct loans are available to all U.S. citizens regardless of need, however, they require repayment. In order to process any forms of financial aid, including LIU Global merit scholarships, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. For New York State aid, you must file a separate Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application.

In the navigation bar to the left, we have broken down the various scholarships, grants and loans for which you can apply. Please note that LIU Global students are not eligible for Brooklyn campus scholarships and grants, and LIU Brooklyn students are not eligible for LIU Global merit scholarships. If you have additional questions, please contact us.
