Description
Raghavendra.Kumar was born March 2, 1939, and received his schooling and higher education in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India. After graduation, he worked as English language lecturer for approximately three years before joining the Education Branch of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in 1964 and retiring in 1994.
While in service in the IAF, he gained extensive experience in the field of teaching and training. Managing the Unit-run Schools was one of his primary responsibilities as an education officer, and he thus gained valuable experience in the field of school administration.
He completed a two-year, full-time interpreting course in the Chinese (Mandarin) language and passed the final examination with distinction. He also gained experience in teaching and translating the Chinese language.
He acquired his degree in library and information science in 1983, which helped him in managing the reference and technical libraries at various training institutions of the IAF.
In addition to reading and enjoying Hindi and English literature, he is greatly interested in Indian classical music and plays a few Indian musical instruments.
