LIU Global Students Introduce Youth Climate Movement to Chinese Peers

On Dec. 14, LIU Global student Paloma Crillo and alumna Elena Kaye-Schiess made a presentation to the 2013 Zhejiang Youth Environment Leadership Summit entitled, “Global Initiative & Local Practice: International Youth Climate Movement.”
Staff member Eoife (Vivian) Huo of LIU Global's China Center helped translate the presentation to an audience of more than 130 students from 26 universities in Zhejiang Province. Crillo and Kaye-Schiess introduced the concept of the international youth climate movement and described U.S. involvement in the effort, perspectives that were new and inspiring for the Chinese students.
This event was reported by several local Chinese media, including Zhejiang News Online, the top local online news portal, which specifically noted Crillo and Kaye-Schiess by name.
