Student Transportation

C.W. Post Shuttle BusLIU Post provides a number of transportation services for our students. All transportation services sponsored by LIU Post are free of charge to enrolled students. Students are asked to present their LIU student ID card to gain access to the transportation.

On-Campus Shuttle Bus

A convenient, free shuttle service runs in a continuous loop around the campus, stopping at designated LIU Post bus stops. The shuttle service is also equipped to provide transportation for disabled community members. Handicapped riders will be picked up/discharged at any location when the bus is flagged down. Van Schedule to Off-Campus Locations

To venture off campus to the supermarket, the mall or the movies, LIU Post students can catch the van to various locations. It runs seven days a week to local sites such as Waldbaums supermarket in Hicksville, the Broadway Mall in Hicksville, and the Long Island Rail Road-Hicksville train station. The bus picks students up on campus at the Interfaith Chapel and at the N20 stop by LIU Post’s B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library. For the Student Van Service Schedule, please click here.

Long Island Bus

LIU Post is serviced by the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), Long Island Bus N20. The bus stops on University Drive at two designated locations on the north side of Campus. (University Drive runs parallel with Northern Boulevard. The N20 connects to the New York City subway system (# 7 line), several Long Island Rail Road stations, and other buses serving Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. There is a fee to use this service. Parking and Parking Stickers

LIU Post has ample general parking across campus near all main academic buildings, residence halls and recreational facilities. There is no charge for parking on campus and vehicles must display the official LIU Post parking sticker. For information on vehicle access and parking stickers, visit the Department of Public Safety Web site. Parking passes are issued free of charge to enrolled students of LIU Post.
