Program for Academic Success (PAS)
The LIU Post Program for Academic Success, part of the Learning Support Center, was created to assist promising students who do not meet LIU Post admission requirements in achieving academic success.
The goal of this one-year academic program is to help students become matriculated without restriction by providing a reduced course load, smaller class size, support services, and continuous evaluation during the freshman year.
• Smaller class sizes for more individualized attention
• Faculty-taught labs (1 hour per week for each P.A.S. course)
• Academic tutors
• Individual supervision and guidance and monitoring by P.A.S. administrators
• P.A.S. advisor to facilitate course registration
