RETURN-TO-LEARNING WORKSHOP FOR ADULT STUDENTS (OVER AGE 25)
Sponsored by the Division of Adult and Non-Traditional Student Programs
This workshop will provide important information on using the Library’s computer lab and learning how to access the extensive databases. A Library tour is included and you will also have the opportunity to receive a bar code for your student ID which allows you to take out books and access databases on-line.

EFFECTIVE STUDY STRATEGIES
This interactive session will provide you with proven reading, studying, and note-taking strategies for optimal performance in lectures and on exams. Increase your retention and recall of information using a variety of study tools and techniques.

TEST-TAKING STRATEGIES
Students often experience anxiety and frustration in preparing for and taking exams. This workshop presents strategies for exam preparation and exam-taking that can minimize anxiety and allow for greater success.

EXPLORING CAREERS & CHOOSING A MAJOR
Are you exploring majors, but still uncertain of the right direction? Thinking of switching majors? Join us for a lively discussion on the common myths and realities that often shape students’ decisions when choosing a major. Come and gain valuable tips on how to make good choices about majors, minors, and careers.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFULLY BALANCING SCHOOL, WORK & LIFE
Many college students discover the need to develop or hone their time management skills to successfully balance the demands of school, work and life. This workshop will focus on ways to arrange and manage your time with helpful tips on setting goals, prioritizing responsibilities and overcoming procrastination.
