Summer Housing

Summer HousingOn-campus housing is available to students registered for Summer Session classes. Applications for Summer Session 1 are generally available late April/early May. A separate application must be made for each Summer Session. All assignments will be for double occupancy rooms as single rooms are not available. The buildings used for Summer Sessions are not air-conditioned. There are no meal plans for the Summer Session. Meals may be purchased on an a-la-carte basis in the Hillwood Commons Cafeteria as the Winnick Student Center is closed for the summer. Please note: Buildings used for each Summer Session vary, necessitating a move-over between sessions by continuing residents.

Applications for on-campus housing during the Summer Session 2013 will be available in the Office of Residence Life two weeks prior to the start of each session and are due the Friday prior to the start of each session.

Intersession & Summer Session I students will move-in to Riggs Hall on Friday, May 10. Check-in will take place in the lobby of Riggs Hall for all summer residents from 12pm through 5pm.

If you are a current resident student and need to reside on campus during the intersession period of May 10, 2013 through May 20, 2013 there will be an additional 10-day charge of $410.00.

Residents choosing to stay for the second intersession period of August 23, 2013 through September 1, 2013 will be charged an additional 8-day charge of $328.00.

Room assignments for intersession & summer sessions will be made on a first-come, first served basis. Resident students must pay their housing charges for each summer session in-full, at Student Financial Services, prior to submitting their application. Single room accommodations are provided on a first come, first served basis and must be in good standing with the Office of Community Standards and Civic Engagement.

REFUNDS

Refunds are issued according to the schedule found on the application. Please find the breakdown of the refund schedule below.

  • 1st calendar week – 60% refund
  • 2nd calendar week – 25% refund
  • Remaining calendar weeks – no refund

MEALS

There are no meal plans for the summer session. Meals may be purchased on an a-la-carte basis in Hillwood Commons. The Winnick Student Center is closed for all summer sessions.
