What can I do if I have a personal problem?
You have a number of options, and any one may prove helpful. You can discuss the problem with your RA, SRA, or RHD. Seemingly overwhelming dilemmas often become manageable after talking about things with someone. Or, you can go to the Student Health and Counseling Center in the lower level of the Life Science Building or call them at 516-299-2345. If they cannot help you, they will find someone who can. This staff also conducts various personal skill-building workshops throughout the semester.
Residence Life Staff will gladly offer their assistance in working with you and the Student Health and Counseling Center in resolving your concerns and problems. The Office of Student Affairs also provides a place for you to voice a specific concern. If the professionals in this office cannot help you, they will direct you to someone who can.
