Fitness Center
The Pratt Recreation Center Strength and Fitness Center has 31 Cardio Machines, 27 Selectorized Strength Units, and 15 Free Weight Strength Pieces. The room offers many choices in cardio and strength training.
Gymnasium
A 3000-seat arena with 3 full size basketball or volleyball courts. The facility is used for our indoor intramural sport programs as well as open recreation. The Pratt Recreation Center Gymnasium is the home of our varsity men’s and women’s basketball teams and our women’s volleyball team.
Indoor Track
The 1/8 mile elevated indoor track with a Mondo super-x surface is a great place for a run. The track is open during regular facility hours but does close during home athletic contests.
Pool
The Pratt Recreation Center sports an 8-lane, 25 yard pool. The Recreational Sports Department along with the Department of Health, Physical Education and Movement Science offer swim classes, scuba, aqua aerobics, American Red Cross certification courses in Lifeguard Training and Water Safety, lap swimming and recreational use.
Racquetball Courts
Two (2) regulation size racquetball courts are available during regular facility hours. First come, first serve or sign up at the front desk in one hour time slots to guarantee your spot.
Multipurpose Room
A 2000 sq. ft. room used for group fitness, dance and PE classes. It is also available for student groups to reserve for their programs.
Meeting Space
Classroom
The Classroom (room 173) seats approximately 25 comfortably. Academic classes have first priority over scheduling, but any time left is available for student groups. It is equipped with a TV/DVD/VCR Combo Unit as well as a drop down projector screen.
Conference Room
The conference room is the smallest of the three rooms with a seating capacity of about 12. Academic classes have first priority when it comes to scheduling the room but any time left is available for student groups. It is equipped with a TV/DVD/VCR Combo Unit.
Human Performance Lab
The Human Performance Lab is primarily used by the department of Physical Education. With a seating capacity of about 30 students and equipped with start of the art testing and analysis equipment it is a great learning room for our students.
Locker Rooms
Staff Locker Rooms
2 Locker rooms are designated as “staff” locker rooms. Each locker room is equipped with showers and bathroom facilities and 16 lockers available for day-use only. Bring your own lock.
General Locker Rooms
2 locker rooms are designated as “general” locker rooms and are intended for students or the general public. Each locker room is equipped with showers and bathroom facilities and about 100 lockers available for day-use only. Bring your own lock.
Lock Policy
All of the lockers in our locker rooms are day-use only. You must bring your own lock if you want to lock up your stuff and you must take the lock with you when you leave. If your lock is left on a locker after closing it will be cut. Contents of the locker will then be put into a bag and labeled and stored in lost and found.
Concession Stand
Located in the main lobby, the concession stand is open during home athletic contests and special events.
Intramural Field
The intramural field is the sole outdoor facility under the jurisdiction of the Recreational Sports Department. Located on the south end of campus it is an area large enough for three 80 yard by 40 yard flag football fields, this space is used to accommodate most outdoor Intramural sports. When not in use by the Recreational Sports department, the space is available to student groups to reserve.
