Fitness Program

Our Fitness program incorporates many different features in the center such as Group Fitness Classes, Personal Training, Fitness Room Orientations, our indoor 200 yard walking/jogging track, swimming pool and of course the many cardio and strength equipment pieces in the Fitness Center.

Our primary goal for fitness at the University is to provide education and instruction for the LIU Post community so they may reach whatever goals they may set for themselves and learn how to maintain healthy lifestyles their entire lives.

Fitness Center

The Pratt Recreation Center Strength and Fitness Room has 31 Cardio Machines, 27 Selectorized Strength Units, and 15 Free Weight Strength Pieces. The room offers many choices in cardio and strength training.

Multipurpose Room

A 2,000 sq. ft. dance studio, the Multi-purpose room has many functions. The room has mirrors all along the west wall and a fully equipped sound system. It is used for Physical Education classes, Dance classes, and most of our Group fitness classes. The room is also used for many of the Dance teams and clubs on campus.
