American String Teacher Association (ASTA)
Any LIU Post student interested in playing and teaching string instruments at the elementary, middle, high school and collegiate levels.
The primary goal of the Art and Art History Club of Long Island University- Post Campus is to provide an academic, social, and professional network for LIU Post students wishing to pursue a profession in the visual arts or those interested in enriching their academic experience outside of the classroom. The club will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas in scholarship, for sharing information and contacts relevant to professions/internships in the visual arts, and serve as a resource for art-related events, films, exhibitions, and lectures. The Art and Art History Club will seek to energize and encourage the student body to participate by raising awareness and appreciation of the visual arts through public programs, community service, a club website, a monthly newsletter, and informal gatherings each semester and will take full advantage of the multiple art resources available in the surrounding areas, including New York City.
