Publications
At LIU Post, we encourage creativity and the ability to communicate freely. You will find a multitude of ways to express yourself here, and will be able to venture into the worlds of literature, music, politics, art and design, and student government through our many campus publications. Write and publish original poetry, essays and your opinions about happenings on Campus and the world around you.
Besides being a great creative outlet, having your work recognized is a wonderful addition on your resume. Several of our students have gone on to professionally publish fiction and non-fiction books as well as contribute to online listservs, blogs and videos.
Loomings
Loomings is a student art and literature magazine published once a semester for the LIU Post community. Whether you submit your own work, or enjoy compiling and applying the lay-out, Loomings is a great outlet for the imaginative mind!
The Opticon (Yearbook)
Somewhere between the late night studying and partying, an academic year full of events goes by. A year-in-review of our students, campus events, clubs and organizations is artistically organized in digital and print form to keep the memories of the LIU Post college days alive for many years to come.
The Post Bottom Line
The Bottom Line is that this magazine is edgy, interesting and uncensored! Issues of the Bottom Line include fun stories, facts, and opinions which are written and photographed by LIU Post students.
The Pioneer
The Pioneer is LIU Post’s award-winning weekly newspaper that keeps you up-to-date with campus, local and world-wide happenings. All students are welcome to join! Write a review, report, or editorial and inform others through photography and the written word. The News, Features, Review and Opinion sections are always open to new talent, so join us to learn and have fun through real journalism experience.
