Each year roughly 2,000 LIU Post alumni participate at on and off campus alumni events. From volunteering their services, to networking with their peers, to attending sports events, alumni of all ages and backgrounds get involved with LIU Post.

Alumni Admissions Ambassadors Dial Admitted Students, March 15-16, 2011
The Alumni Office partnered with the Office of Admissions in hosting their annual "Call Night." On March 15, alumni volunteers picked up the phones and spoke with admitted students and their families to congratulate them on their acceptance to LIU Post and to encourage them to attend.
Department of Athletics Hall of Fame, March 23, 2011
The Department of Athletics hosted its Seventh Annual Hall of Fame Banquet at the Milleridge Cottage. Joseph Tarangelo '83, Timothy McIntee '89, Thomas Bennett '82, Kristen Schwall '95 and the 1996 Men's Lacrosse National Championship Team were recognized for their outstanding athletic achievements at this annual dinner. Nearly 130 alumni, friends and families attended.
Alumni Night at Islanders vs. Rangers Game , March 31, 2011
Nearly 125 LIU Post alumni joined together to attend an Islanders vs. Rangers game at Nassau Coliseum. Alumni were also invited to attend a pre-game gathering at Doolin's Pub to mingle and have a drink with fellow graduates.
Alumni Volunteer at Admitted Students Day , April 3, 2011
Alumni participated on campus walking tours while speaking with admitted students and their families about their own experiences at LIU Post. Admitted Students Day is an important recruitment event and the presence of alumni is an invaluable addition.
Alumnus Mac Martirossian '76 Presented Brand YOU – April 11, 2011
Alumnus Mac Martirossian gave a lecture to help students and alumni gain an edge in today's competitive job market. His presentation focused on ways to ignite success with a personal "brand" that is unique to the individual.
Spring "Network Your Way to Career Advancement" Alumni-Student Event, April 5, 2011
Alumni and current students had the opportunity to meet one another at this bi-annual event. Alumni also "give back" by helping teach current students the "art of networking."
Alumni Golf Outing Benefiting Pioneer Athletics, June 6, 2011
The annual golf outing was held at the Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington. Each year, this benefit attracts over 100 of our athletic alumni who come to support the Pioneer athletic program. Last year's outing raised more than $35,000 to support our student-athletes.
New York City Alumni Reception, June 15, 2011
The 4th Annual New York City Alumni Reception, sponsored by the LIU Post Alumni Association and KPMG, took place at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan bringing together nearly 350 alumni living in the New York metropolitan area.

Homecoming Alumni Networking Reception, October 21, 2011
Homecoming festivities kicked off on October 21 with the 2nd Annual Alumni Lecture & Reception in the Great Hall. Nearly 125 alumni attended to hear Dr. Bob Brier's lecture "The C.W. Post Mummy," immediately followed by a cocktail reception for alumni to reunite and network.
Homecoming Weekend, October 21-22, 2011
Approximately 4,000 alumni, friends, students, parents, staff, faculty and community members attended Homecoming weekend. Highlights included the Fall Festival, Barbecue, Tailgate Tent Party, rides, the Ferris wheel, pumpkin painting, entertainers, beer tent, and student-club sponsored games and activities.
Homecoming Black and Latino Alumni Breakfast
Co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations and the HEOP office, a breakfast was held for approximately 75 alumni who met and mingled in the Chapel Lounge on Saturday morning before the game.
WCWP 50th Anniversary Celebration, October 22, 2011
One hundred alumni and friends of WCWP Radio joined together to honor the station's 50th anniversary. The room was filled with talented alumni who have become successful professionals in broadcast media, voice-acting, journalism and public relations. The event has spurred a revival of alumni activity around WCWP.
Fall "Network Your Way to Career Advancement" Alumni/Student Event, November 2011
On November 1 alumni and students met and networked in the Tilles Center Atrium. The evening was an opportunity for alumni to meet one another for professional networking purposes and to help teach current students the art of networking.

Alumni volunteers participated on campus walking tours with prospective students and their families at the Fall Open House. Each year, dozens of alumni donate their time at admissions events to encourage new students to attend LIU Post.
