Welcome Suffolk County Community College Students!

As a joint-applicant to SCCC and LIU Post you will enjoy special benefits through the SCCC/LIU Post Joint Admissions Program. When you participate in this exclusive program you receive dual enrollment status at SCCC and LIU Post and get a head start on planning for your four-year degree. Upon graduation from SCCC with an associate's degree, you will be guaranteed junior-year status when you begin your studies at LIU Post. Other benefits include: enhanced scholarships; a LIU Post student ID card that grants access to the LIU Post library and its vast resources; invitations to special campus events; priority on-campus housing; discounted Tilles Center tickets, and more!

It's Time to Register for Classes

Once you have been admitted and you have received your credit evaluation, you can submit your tuition deposit and register for classes. Community College Honors Exchange Program

If you are an honors student at SCCC, you can take LIU Post courses at reduced tuition while still attending SCCC. You can transfer these courses back to SCCC to apply toward your associate's degree. Interested students can fill out the Community College Honors Exchange Application by clicking here. Bring the completed application to your SCCC honors advisor for approval. The honors office will submit it to LIU Post on your behalf.

Transfer Scholarships for SCCC Students

Suffolk County Community College Joint Admissions Award
Amount: $1,000 per year in addition to the scholarships listed below.
Criteria: associate's degree from SCCC and participation in the Joint Admissions Program; 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher

LIU Post/Suffolk County Community College Scholarship*
Amount: Three eligible full-time undergraduates, one from each campus of Suffolk County Community College, receive full tuition and fees, as determined by the LIU Post Provost's Scholarship Committee.
Criteria: Candidates are recommended by a delegate of Suffolk County Community College and must transfer directly to LIU Post with an associate's degree.

Transfer Scholars Award
Amount: $17,000 - $20,000 per year
Criteria: Full-time transfer students with 24 or more college credits and cumulative averages of 3.75-4.0. Highest scholarship requires associate's degree and direct transfer from an accredited community college.

Transfer Excellence Award
Amount: $12,000 - $15,000 per year
Criteria: Full-time transfer students with 12 or more credits from an accredited college or university and cumulative averages of 3.4 to 3.74.

Transfer Incentive Award
Amount: $8,000 - $10,000 per year for qualifying students with a 3.0 to 3.39 cumulative grade point average.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Amount: $2,500 per year (limited number)
Criteria: Full-time transfer students with associate's degrees, cumulative averages of 3.5 or better, and members in good standing of Phi Theta kappa. Candidates must transfer directly to LIU Post from an accredited community college and submit an official transcript with PTK notation and letter of recommendation from PTK chapter sponsor to the LIU Post Admissions Office.
