Velkommen! LIU Post Welcomes Our Norwegian Friends Who Want to Study in New York!
LIU Post is home to 700 international students from countries around the globe, all of whom are benefiting from a great American college experience. Our 307-acre campus is located on the north shore of Long Island in Brookville, New York, which is ranked among the most desirable communities in America.
You can choose from 88 bachelor's degrees, 73 master's degrees, 62 dual degrees and three doctoral degrees. Our full range of programs are offered in business, education and information sciences, liberal arts and sciences, health professions and nursing, library and information science, and the visual and performing arts. International Student Services Division (ISS)
ISS assists international students in maintaining their legal F-1 non-immigrant status in the United States and also provides advising and support for students seeking internships (CPT) or post-graduate jobs (OPT). For more information visit: www.liu.edu/post/iss.
Scholarships, Sports and Career Opportunities
International students can earn money for college by qualifying to play on one of our athletics teams. Teams include men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's swimming, men's & women's basketball, and women's tennis. LIU Post's 550 student-athletes compete at the NCAA Division II level in 15 varsity sports and train at the Pratt Recreation Center, featuring a competition-size pool, an indoor jogging track, racquetball courts, a weight room, a fitness studio and a 3,000-seat basketball arena. www.liu.edu/post/pioneers
Thinking ahead, you'll want to explore careers and gain real world experience. We'll help you find a job on campus so you can explore careers and pay for college. Eligible students receive assistance with CPT internship and OPT employment opportunities.
