English Language Institute
The English Language Institute (ELI) at LIU Post is dedicated to helping ESL students improve their English skills and experience life at a prestigious American university.
Intensive English Program
The Intensive English Program provides English as a Second Language classes to non-English speakers who are seeking admission to LIU Post to pursue a bachelor's or master's degree.
These classes help you improve your English skills through lessons in language, speaking, reading and writing.
The Intensive English Program offers many advantages:

About 1,800 students make their home at LIU Post and reside in eight residence halls. Residence halls include three-and four bedroom suites and standard double and triple rooms. Our residential complex is located within easy walking distance of academic buildings, the Winnick Student Center, Hillwood Commons and the Pratt Recreation Center.

Medical Forms & Health Insurance
All international students must submit a medical form.
If you plan to live off campus, click on Immunization History. Follow the instructions on this form.
All F-1 students must have health insurance. If you have health insurance, you must submit proof of insurance and complete a waiver form when you arrive on campus. If you do not have health insurance, you must purchase it through the university. The cost is approximately $700 per year.
