Nassau County Employee Discount Program
The LIU Post/Nassau County Employee Tuition Discount Program offers Nassau County government employees the unique opportunity to begin or continue their college education at the undergraduate or graduate level* at a one-third tuition discount off the full or regular tuition rate. The discounted rate is available for full- and part-time enrollment for day, evening and weekend credit classes at the LIU Post and LIU Brentwood. The tuition discount may not be combined with other university assistance or tuition discount programs. To be eligible for the discount, a prospective student must be working as a full- or part-time employee of Nassau County at the time of enrollment and must enroll in a degree-granting program.
Students apply through the LIU Post Office of Admissions and complete the Nassau County Employee Tuition Discount Program application and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. *Note: Doctoral, continuing education, non-credit, special workshops and seminar programs are not included in the Tuition Discount Program. Tuition rate varies for the Speech-Language Pathology program.
Old Brookville Police Department Employee Tuition Discount Program
The LIU Post Campus is located in the Village of Brookville and is served by the Old Brookville Police Department (OBPD). LIU Post offers a one-third tuition discount on undergraduate and graduate courses to employees of the OBPD (discount does not apply to continuing education or doctoral programs). Spouses and children of the OBPD are eligible to receive a one-third tuition discount for six credits of undergraduate or graduate study only. Students must apply through the LIU Post Office of Admissions and complete the Old Brookville Police Department Tuition Reduction Scholarship Program application and a FAFSA form, both available from the LIU Post Financial Assistance Office. LIU Post welcomes applications from veterans and encourages them to take full advantage of their G.I. Bill benefits which can be applied to undergraduate and graduate study. Candidates are required to submit a copy of Form DD214, Report of Separation, to the LIU Post Office of Admissions.
