CREATIVITY DRIVES CULTURE
Students in the School of Visual and Performing Arts showcase their broad-ranging talents in real-world environments and do what they love every single day. Performing artists, aspiring broadcast TV and radio journalists, musicians, visual artists, arts educators, historians, managers and more, you’ll find a spotlight for your talent here at LIU Post.
In the Fashion Merchandising program, students learn to think strategically about style, predict trends and forecast consumer desires, source forward-thinking designer merchandise, and examine global cultural trends.
LEARN FROM MASTERS
Integration with LIU’s Tilles Center for the Performing Arts offers young artists opportunities to participate in interactive experiences like master classes, workshops, and residencies with the internationally acclaimed musicians, dance companies, and theatre companies.
Recent artists who have worked with our students include: Wynton Marsalis (pictured), Pilobolus, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, jazz artist Paquito D’Rivera, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
