Program Completion Rate
The Program Completion Rate (PCR) is calculated by dividing the number of students who completed the program by the number of students who enrolled in the program for a given time period. PCR takes into consideration students who leave the program, prior to completion, due to reasons such as medical leave, personal choice or course failure.

The Medical Imaging Program’s completion rate for 2013 was 92.3%. Twenty-four (24) of the twenty-six (26) students who were expected to complete the program in 2013 completed the program within the appropriate timeframe.
Five Year Program Completion Rate: Of the 123 students admitted to the program from January 2009 – December 2013, 110 completed and graduated from the program within the prescribed timeframe.
Credentialing Examination Pass Rate
Students graduating from the program are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination. The Credentialing Exam Pass Rate reflects those students who pass the ARRT exam on the first attempt within six months of graduation from the program.
Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Standards require a five-year credentialing examination pass rate average not less than 75% at first attempt within six (6) months of graduation.
LIU Post 2013 Credentialing Exam Pass Rate:
- 79% on first attempt
- 91.6% within 6 months of graduation
LIU Post five-year Credentialing Exam Pass Rate: 90%
The Medical Imaging Programs ARRT Pass Rate on first attempt in 2013 was 79%.
Of the 24 students who took the exam, 19 passed on the first attempt and 22 passed within six (6) months of graduation.
For the time period January 2009 – December 2013, 100 of the 111 students who graduated from the Medical Imaging Program passed the ARRT certification examination on their first attempt within six months of graduation.
Job Placement Rate
Job Placement Rate is the number of students that gain employment in the radiologic sciences within twelve (12) months of graduation compared to the number that graduate and are actively seeking employment in the field of radiologic sciences.

LIU Post five-year Job Placement Rate: 95.24%

The Medical Imaging Program’s job placement rate for 2013 was 100%. Twenty-two (22) of twenty-two (22) program graduates who actively sought employment were employed within twelve (12) months of graduation.
For the time period January 2009 – December 2013, of the 108 program graduates who actively sought employment, 103 were employed in the field of radiologic sciences within twelve (12) months of graduation.
