How to Become a Registered Dietitian
- Complete a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Complete a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and obtain a DPD Verification Statement.
- Apply to an accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) (the B.S. degree in Nutrition and DPD Verification Statement are requirements to apply for the DI).
- After completion of an accredited DI, the candidate successfully completes the national credentialing examination for Registered Dietitian (RD).
