The Department of Biomedical Sciences offers accredited bachelor’s and master’s degrees that prepare competent and knowledgeable professionals dedicated to the highest standards of science and health care.
The Department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical Technology and Clinical Laboratory Science, Generalist (NAACLS* accredited).
Graduate programs include the M.S. in Clinical Laboratory Sciences in which students will be eligible to sit for the certification exam and acquire NY State licensure that is required for employment in a clinical laboratory; the M.S. in Medical Biology with specializations in Hematology, Immunology, Medical Chemistry and Medical Microbiology; the M.S. in Clinical Laboratory Management, which integrates technological and administrative courses to prepare graduates for management careers in the clinical laboratory setting; and the M.S. in Cardiovascular Perfusion, which is accredited by CAAHEP in conjunction with the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
