Dear Prospective Student,
The Department of Health Care and Public Administration is committed to the missions of Long Island University and the College of Management to provide access to higher education to all individuals desiring an undergraduate and graduate degree in health care, public administration and nonprofit management studies.
Our Department's core ethos is based on a strong belief in public values, social responsibility and ethics in the public, health care and nonprofit sectors. Faculty and staff are committed to excellence in teaching and support for our students to help ensure a successful educational experience. We enjoy a diversified student population who seek the benefits of higher education.
As a nationally accredited program that blends academic theory with a pragmatic application, we believe our bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health and public administration address the many needs of our students and the communities we serve. For those undergraduate and graduate students who desire and/or need experience, the department offers a full internship program.
The Department has a strong professional reputation in the various sectors we serve. Our community partners depend on our graduates and faculty to help staff their personnel needs. In addition, our Center for Management Analysis has focused on issues of energy, housing and the structures of governments and their delivery of services.
As you review the variety of programs listed in the College of Management's Web site, you will see the extent of our offerings and our commitment to excellence. Please contact us so we may address your needs.
